Konpè Filo mène une table ronde avec plusieurs militants et intellectuels haïtiens qui vivaient à l'étranger pendant les événements du 28 novembre 1980 lorsque le régime de Duvalier s'était attaqué à la presse indépendante, détruisant le studio de Radio Haïti et arrêtant ou exilant les journalistes. Les expatriés haïtiens suivaient les événements du pays en écoutant les émissions de Radio Haïti sur cassettes. Depuis Paris, Montréal, le Venezuela et la Guadeloupe, les participants se montrèrent solidaires avec Radio Haïti et le peuple haïtien.

Konpè Filo leads a roundtable discussion with Haitian intellectuals and activists who were living abroad about the events of November 28, 1980, when the Duvalier regime cracked down on the independent press, the Radio Haiti station was destroyed, and the journalists arrested and exiled. Haitians living abroad followed events in Haiti by listening to cassettes of Radio Haiti broadcasts. From Paris, Montreal, Venezuela, and Guadeloupe, the speakers demonstrated solidarity with Radio Haiti and with the Haitian people.
