Asanble Popilè Nasyonal la pral boyikote eleksyon yo. Yo mande pou makout yo jije, epi pou lajan leta divalyeris yo te detounen an tounen bay pèp ayisyen an. Yo eksplike ke kandida yo te chwazi a, Gérard Gourgue, trayi APN nan paske li te dakò avèk eleksyon yo lè yo t ap fèt. Reprezantan APN yo se François Pierre-Louis, Jean-Robert Lalanne, ak Fritz Jean.
The Assemblée Populaire Nationale will boycott the upcoming elections. They claim that there cannot be fair elections under the current CEP that is controlled by the CNG. According to the APN, this is a plot by Macoute elements and the bourgeoisie and does not represent the interests of the common people. The current regime will not do anything about peasant land rights, contraband goods, or infrastructure, and will continue to obey foreign masters (particularly the US) and undermine Haitian sovereignty. They call for Macoutes to be judged and for the state funds embezzled by the Duvalierists to be returned to the Haitian people. They also explain that their previous candidate, Gérard Gourgue, betrayed their interests by agreeing to the terms of the election. APN representatives are François Pierre-Louis, Jean-Robert Lalanne, and Fritz Jean.
