Emisyon Radyo Ayiti nan Nouyòk. Jean Dominique ak Konpè Filo li kèk lèt oditè voye pou yo. Pami yo, genyen yon gwoup ayisyen k ap viv Nyack k ap travay nan yon faktori New Jersey, ki voye de chèk pou kore pwogram nan, paske yo gen yon rèv (pou itilize pawòl Martin Luther King Jr.) ke pèp ayisyen ka vin yon sèl pou lite kont rejim Duvalier a. Selon Dominique, ni nan dyaspora, ni an Ayiti, wòl jounalis se chita sou “ban lekòl li” pou l aprann nan men pèp la k ap lite pou chanjman politik. Dominique ak Filo li kèk anons kominotè. Filo entèvyouve powèt Feliks Moriso-Lewa, ki deklame pwezi, epi ki pale sou opozisyon kont FMI, enpòtans lang kreyòl la, epi sou kesyon èske li konsidere pwezi li ewotik, pami lòt sijè.
Radio Haiti in New York broadcast. Jean Dominique and Konpè Filo read letters from supporters, including one from a group of Haitians living in Nyack who work at a factory in New Jersey, who sent a two checks to support the program, because they have a dream (to use Martin Luther King Jr.’s phrase) that the Haitian people will come together to oppose the Duvalier regime. Dominique describes how here, as in Haiti, the role of the journalist is to “sit on the school bench” and learn from the people as they fight for political change. Dominique and Filo read community announcements. Filo interviews poet Félix Morisseau-Leroy, who recites poetry, and discusses opposition to the IMF, the importance of Haitian Creole, and whether or not his poetry is erotic, among other subjects.
