The first is a bond between William Scott and John Pilson covering Pilson's loan of $294.50 to Scott as well as other sums that will be loaned in the future. The second is a transfer of 4 enslaved persons, "one negro man called Ben, one negro woman called Phillis & her child named Robert Wilson, and one other negro man named Jesse" from William Scott to Richard Wallace "in consideration of the promises and for the further sum of one dollar". The third states that if William Scott does not repay the money owed to John Pilson by January 1, 1829, then Richard Wallace will sell "the property" at public auction to cover the debt to Pilson. Text on verso indicates that this is a copy made to be registered at court.
