-	You know, I wasn't that comfortable with it.	0:00
First of all, because, you know,	0:03
I didn't feel like he'd had that much world experience here.	0:08
And to go that far.	0:12
And it was a long way.	0:14
I didn't know anything, that was halfway around the world.	0:16
And I know the media made it out	0:20
to appear that, you know, sure.	0:22
You know, where would you like to go?	0:25
	And, you know, go.	0:27
But it wasn't like that for me, you know?	0:31
	I did a lot of research.	0:32
	I talked to people.	0:33
The one person I spoke with in particular,	0:35
	she was from Ireland	0:39
and she had her own travel business.	0:42
And she would take people to Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Iran.	0:45
And she said hands down, if she had to pick a place to live	0:50
	on the planet tomorrow,	0:53
it would be Sanaa Yemen.	0:54
	And she loved it.	0:56
She said, the people are wonderful.	0:58
	They're kind.	0:59
	And so she said,	1:01
you know, he'll be fine.	1:05
	He'll be fine.	1:06
So, you know, I also knew that, you know,	1:08
kids do go abroad for study.	1:13
You know, sometimes they go, while they're in high school.	1:16
Some private schools send their kids abroad in high school.	1:18
And I didn't think it would be forever, but you know	1:22
when he did finally board that plane	1:28
and I watched it takeoff, I mean, I was just...	1:31
	It was really hard.	1:38
It was really hard to see him go.	1:39
Because my preference would have been,	1:42
if there had been a school here for him to study,	1:44
that would have been, that would have	1:48
been the thing that I would have wanted him to do.	1:50
But at the time there wasn't.	1:52
Because he also wanted to study about the religion.	1:54
And there didn't seem to be, to my knowledge,	1:57
	but again, I didn't know anything,	2:02
you know I didn't really know anything.	2:04
	And I realize,	2:06
maybe some of the criticism was fair, that I know,	2:07
	I know I was naive.	2:13
I was naive, you know, I'll admit I was naive.	2:14
