Bahtiyar Mahnut, male, age 34, a Uyghur from the Xinjiang autonomous region, was detained in Guantanamo from June 2002 until March 22, 2010, when he was released to Switzerland. In October 2008, he won his habeas corpus suit, however he was not released until both himself and his brother were granted political asylum in 2010.
