| - | I've always said there's guilty people there. | 0:00 |
| And even some of the former detainees will tell you | 0:02 | |
| that there are guilty people there, but there's a right way | 0:04 | |
| and there's a wrong way to deal with people. | 0:05 | |
| And just to go lock up people 'cause they're Brown, | 0:07 | |
| they're Muslim and they're in the wrong area. | 0:10 | |
| We're gonna buy 'em 'cause we need to have numbers | 0:12 | |
| and make it look like we're doing something in this world. | 0:13 | |
| This war on terror is just wrong. | 0:15 | |
| You gotta do it the right way. | 0:17 | |
| You can't do it the wrong way. | 0:18 | |
| I've always had that day like, I tell my kids | 0:21 | |
| that you have to do it the right way. | 0:23 | |
| You can't do something wrong and there's no shortcuts. | 0:25 | |
| The country and people here in America will get upset | 0:29 | |
| if something happens to one American soldier anywhere else, | 0:31 | |
| but if you're doing it to other people, | 0:34 | |
| what can you really say? | 0:36 | |
| I've always been a firm believer until | 0:37 | |
| the governor stands up and was like, "Hey, we did this. | 0:39 | |
| "We're sorry. | 0:41 | |
| "Let's just move on." | 0:42 | |
| People are never gonna forget it. | 0:43 | |
| You have to apologize for people to start letting go. | 0:44 | |
| 'Cause I used to be very close-minded like, | 0:48 | |
| I've always said if I could change, anybody could change | 0:50 | |
| 'cause not always get people. | 0:53 | |
| I don't stereotype people like I used to. | 0:55 | |
| I look at stuff different. | 0:59 | |
| I'll try and look at the whole picture | 1:00 | |
| instead of just one side of it. | 1:01 | |
| It wasn't all negative 'cause of the positive. | 1:03 | |
| I really realized like not everything | 1:05 | |
| that the media says is what it is. | 1:08 | |
| And I've kinda opened myself | 1:10 | |
| up to it's different ways of life | 1:12 | |
| 'cause everything was either the way they do it in Texas | 1:14 | |
| or any other way. | 1:17 | |
| And I'm like, I don't know nothing about this religion | 1:18 | |
| or these kinds of people, but now I'm just open into it all. | 1:19 | |
| I guess I'm more open to change | 1:22 | |
| and then different cultures and different people. | 1:25 | |
| So in that part of it, it was positive. | 1:26 |
