| through the same hassle when you get on the Island | 0:29 | |
| and you can go and where you can't go. | 0:31 | |
| And so by the time we get out to see Omar, | 0:33 | |
| it's in the afternoon | 0:36 | |
| and the following morning is our hearing. | 0:38 | |
| And we meet with Omar and that's when we find out. | 0:40 | |
| And Omar's angry that all of a sudden he's now | 0:44 | |
| been placed the day before in solitary confinement. | 0:47 | |
| And he believes it was because he's cooperating with us. | 0:50 | |
| Because if you look at the other detainees who | 0:53 | |
| won't cooperate with their lawyers, | 0:54 | |
| they're not in solitary confinement, | 0:56 | |
| but he and one other were. | 0:58 | |
| And his thinking, it wasn't that far off, honestly. | 1:01 | |
| So we're like, well Omar, | 1:06 | |
| we'll find out what's going on. | 1:08 | |
| Why this is happening and if something is wrong we'll | 1:10 | |
| I don't know what we were thinking, we'll file a motion. | 1:13 | |
| We'll bring it up with the judge. Right? | 1:16 | |
| So we try to do that | 1:19 | |
| and they won't even answer our questions. | 1:20 | |
| I can't even get them to say we can't disclose that, | 1:22 | |
| that's confidential or whatever. | 1:26 | |
| You'll call and they'll say, well, hold on. | 1:28 | |
| And then nobody will pick up on the phone | 1:30 | |
| or they'll just hang up on you. | 1:33 | |
| We couldn't get anybody to answer our question | 1:35 | |
| of why has he been moved into solitary | 1:37 | |
| other than the fact that one person said, | 1:39 | |
| well, it's not solitary. | 1:41 | |

| a small room by himself | 1:45 | |
| where he has no contact with anyone else. | 1:47 | |
| How on earth is that not solitary? | 1:50 | |
| Well, the government's position was because there was a gap | 1:52 | |
| in the door with a little bit of a space | 1:54 | |
| that the detainees could lay down on the floor | 1:57 | |
| and you know, stick their face to that little crack. | 1:59 | |
| And if they talk loud, now somebody else could hear him. | 2:03 | |
| So therefore it wasn't solitary. | 2:05 | |
