- Title:
- Letter on United States Election
- Date:
- November 15, 2008
- Creator:
- Storey, Peter John, 1938-
- Description:
- Article publishing a letter written by Prof Storey to American friends on the eve of the US election and published in "Durham News", November 15, 2008. The nation whose original sin was to buy and sell Africans like chattels, could well elect an African-American to be its First Citizen. I wonder if the people of the USA realize that they stand on the edge of a liberating moment - a step even beyond what Martin Luther King Jr saw from the mountain top.
