A letter and receipt (1844 August 8?) from Burrell Sanders to Benjamin Sanders notes Burrell's purchase of 33 enslaved persons (unnamed) from the estate of Judge Lee. A letter (1846 February 7) from Burrell Sanders to Benjamin Sanders lists 14 enslaved persons and their valuations that Benjamin will receive from the division of an estate: Old Adam, Hannah, Young Adam, Peggy, July, Phibby, Dick, Muriah, Joe, Old Phibby, Sarah, Joe, Binah, and Sally. Burrell lists 10 enslaved people in his own allotment: Old George, Young George, Ginny, Ishmael, Nancy, Abram, Cyrus, Rose, Old Betty, and Wotty. A letter and receipt (1848 June 15) refers to the hiring out of a carpenter (presumably enslaved) named Centy.
