Special broadcast on the commemoration of the 18th anniversary of the 1969 Cazale massacre. In March 1969, the peasants of Cazale rose up against Duvalierist oppression and raised the red and blue flag of pre-Duvalier Haiti. The military and Tontons Macoutes based in Cazale, such as Charlemagne Bien-Aimé, arrested and killed many peasants, pillaged and burned peasant homes, and systematically raped women and girls. Father Jean-Bertrand Aristide preaches about the importance of love. Residents of Cazale recall the abuses they endured under the Macoutes, particularly Bien-Aimé. Report by Liliane Pierre-Paul.
Émission spéciale : Commémoration du 18e anniversaire du massacre de Cazale. En mars 1969, les paysans de Cazale se sont révoltés contre la répression duvaliériste et ont hissé le drapeau bleu et rouge sur un édifice. L’armée et les macoutes déployés à Cazale, et parmi eux Charlemagne Bien-Aimé, ont arrêté et tué plusieurs paysans, violé femmes et jeunes filles, pillé et incendié des maisons de paysans. Le père Jean-Bertrand Aristide prêche l’importance de l’amour. Des habitants de Cazale témoignent de la répression exercés par les macoutes, particulièrement Bien-Aimé.
