  • A senate commission headed by Jean-Robert Sabalat summons Minister of Finance Fred Joseph regarding the disappearance and possible misappropriation of government funds transferred to the organizations Lafanmi Selavi and Alpha pour le Développement. Joseph says that he was not Minister of Finance at the time ; it was his predecessor Jean-Marie Chérestal.

  • Une commission du Sénat menée par Jean-Robert Sabalat convoque le ministre des Finances Fred Joseph pour l'interroger sur la disparition et le possible détournement de fonds publics ; en cause, l'argent transféré aux associations Lafanmi Selavi et Alpha pour le Développement. Joseph déclare qu'il n'était pas encore ministre des Finances à l'époque : cela s'est passé sous son prédécesseur Jean-Marie Chérestal.
