Jean Dominique interviewe Hugo Meneses Martínez, représentant du Front Sandiniste de libération nationale des Caraïbes. Jean Dominique interviews Hugo Meneses Martínez, the representative of the Sandinista National Liberation Front to the Caribbean region. Meneses Martínez discusses the current political and social situation in Nicaragua, including the participation of Marxist and communist parties in national politics, advances in health and literacy, and how US policy and sanctions have hurt the Nicaraguan economy. He describes the process of agrarian reform and economic reform in Nicaragua. Dominique asks about the Nicaraguan bourgeoisie's response to a socialist, anti-imperialist government. They end by discussing the possibility of more amicable relations between the United States and Nicaragua.
