(00:00:00) Report on the conflict between Delmas mayor Ernst Erilus and a justice of the peace from Cité Soleil, Joseph André Fanfan. The conflict began after Fanfan released a man that Erilus had had arrested in Drouillard, 1997-06-19 (00:04:35) Michèle Montas interviews two residents of Cité Soleil, Jackson and Fils-Aimé, about the violence the Lame Wouj gang has unleased on the population. According to the two men, Lame Wouj wishes to ruin the 17 December elections, and they are financed by certain powerful candidates. The gang is made up mainly of former military who are drug dealers. They have taken advantage of the government's disarmament campaign to stockpile firearms in the neighborhoods of Soleil 17, Boston, Cité Carton, and Bèlèkou. The Haitian National Police cannot enter Cité Soleil, and the Lame Wouj have plans to kill Dany Toussaint. Jackson and Fils-Aimé would like the Force de Police Intérimaire to assist the PNH to help control Lame Wouj, 1997-12-04

Tout a commencé après que Fanfan ait libéré un homme qu’Erilus avait fait arrêter à Drouillard, 1997-06-19 (00:04:35) Michèle Montas interroge deux résidents de Cité Soleil, Jackson et Fils-Aimé, sur la vague de violence perpétrée sur la population par le gang Lame Wouj. D’après les deux hommes, l’objectif de Lame Wouj est de torpiller les élections du 17 décembre, et ce gang est financé par des candidats puissants.
