(00:00:00) Un membre de la mairie de Port-au-Prince dément avoir organisé leur événement pour protester contre le rassemblement de Jean-Bertrand Aristide pour lancer son nouveau parti politique, Fanmi Lavalas. Il déclare qu’il s’agit d’une coïncidence, car leur événement était programmé depuis six mois. (00:01:45) Deux députés expriment leur solidarité à Aristide et à Fanmi Lavalas, durant le rassemblement où Aristide annonce la création du parti. (00:03:39) Environ trois mille personnes ont participé au lancement de Fanmi Lavalas à Jacmel. Aristide a lancé un appel à l’unité du peuple. Le maire de Port-au-Prince, Manno Charlemagne dément que la mairie ait organisé un événement parallèle à Jacmel, pour protester contre Aristide et la création de Fanmi Lavalas.

He says that this was a coincidence and they had planned the event for six months. (00:01:45) Two MPs (députés) respond to Aristide's rally creating Fanmi Lavalas. They express solidarity with Aristide and Fanmi Lavalas. (00:03:39) Around 3,000 people participated in the inauguration of Fanmi Lavalas in Jacmel. Aristide calls for unity. Port-au-Prince mayor Manno Charlemagne denies that the Port-au-Prince municipal government held a parallel event in Jacmel to protest Aristide and the creation of Fanmi Lavalas.
