Li dekri ki danje epi ki pyèj -- menas vyolans, magouy elektoral, dezenfòmasyon -- ki gaye sou chemen demokrasi a, epi ki taktik pou rezistans mas pèp la genyen, 1987-03-28
("Do you listen to the radio, Professor?"), in response to a Marxist intellectual who declared that one should not tell the masses to go vote on the constitutional referendum, but rather "make them understand" what the constitution is. But, as Dominique points out, poor people -- rural farmers, domestic workers, small tradespeople -- have been speaking about the constitution on Radio Haiti for several weeks, 1987-03-27 (00:09:45) Jean Dominique's editorial "Les grand manoeuvres avant le jour J" ("War games before D-Day") on the eve of the 29 March 1987 constitutional referendum. He describes the dangers and traps -- threats of violence, electoral fraud, and misinformation -- strewn along the path to democracy, and the Haitian masses' strategies for resistance, 1987-03-28
