Editoryal Jean Dominique kote li denonse manti "fo maksis-leninis malatchong" Ben Dupuy, redaktè-an-chèf Haïti Progrès ak lidè Asanble Popilè Nasyonal, aprè konplo Dupuy pou divize epi pete sendika CATH la. Men sa fè lontan Dupuy merite kondanasyon konsa. Dapre Dominique, kwa ke Dupuy sanse nan gòch, anfèt se kavalye polka lòt jounalis malatchong tankou Dieudonné Fardin ak Serge Beaulieu. Anplis, nan novanm 1980, pandan makout tankou Jean Valmé ak Ti Boule t ap kraze Radyo Ayiti, Ben Dupuy t ap eseye kraze Radyo Ayiti tou, soti nan Nouyòk. Gen lòt militan, tankou Jean-Bertrand Aristide ak Boby Duval (responsab LAPPH) ki pa t dakò avèk konstitisyon 1987 la okòmansman, men yo chanje lide lè yo fin rekonèt ke konstitisyon an te yon zam pèp la kont makout yo. Men Dupuy li menm, li pa t janm chanje lide. Dupuy tou bay vag wòl CIA nan voye zam bay bouwo 29 novanm yo. Dominique mande: Kote Ben Dupuy kwòke djakout li, si Dupuy, antanke gwo swadizan anti-enperyalis, ap pwoteje CIA epi jwenn apwi nan men gwo kapitalis ameriken ak gouvènman Reagan?
Jean Dominique's editorial denouncing the lies of "false Marxist-Leninist" Ben Dupuy, editor of the newspaper Haïti Progrès and leader of the Assemblée Populaire Nationale, following Dupuy's schemes to divide and tear apart the labor union CATH. Dupuy has long been deserving of condemnation. According to Dominique, while Dupuy is ostensibly on the left, he is in fact in league with other unscrupulous journalists like Dieudonné Fardin and Serge Beaulieu. Moreover, in November 1980, as Jean Valmé, Ti Boule, and the other Macoutes were trying to destroy Radio Haiti in Haiti, Ben Dupuy was trying to destroy Radio Haiti from abroad in New York. Unlike other activists, such as Jean-Bertrand Aristide and LAPPH's Boby Duval, who initially opposed the 1987 Constitution but who came to recognize that the Constitution was a powerful weapon against Macoutism, Dupuy has never changed his position. For Dupuy, it wasn't an error but a strategic choice. Dupuy tries to destroy all efforts at building democracy, criticizing the Constitution, claiming that the election is a US imperialist plot and trying to turn people against CEP member Emmanuel Ambroise -- and even after Ambroise denounced the US embassy's attempts to ruin the election, Haiti Progrès never reported on it. Therefore, declares Dominique, Dupuy both lies in what he writes and lies by omission. Dupuy has aided Henri Namphy by supporting the conclusions of the government's fraudulent report on the events of 29 November 1987, when the army violently slaughtered voters at Ruelle Vaillant. He also wrote that the Saint Jean Bosco massacre was Franck Romain's plot against Namphy, claiming that Namphy played no role in the massacre, and ignored the CIA's role in arming the perpetrators of the 29 November massacre. Where do Ben Dupuy's loyalties lie, Dominique wonders, if Dupuy, the supposed anti-imperialist, is protecting the CIA and receiving support from major US capitalists and the Reagan government?
