Editoryal Jean Dominique nan laprè-referandòm 29 mas 1987, yon moman tèt ansanm nasyonal, kote gran majorite pèp ayisyen -- boujwa kou malere, moun ki gen tout kalite ideyoloji politik -- te vote "wi." Alòske laprès nasyonal ak entènasyonal ap felisite KNG a pou gwo viktwa sa a, Dominique deklare se mas pèp la ki pote laviktwa vrè, dè milye peyizan ki vote pou konstitisyon an. Dapre Dominique, vrè laprè-referandòm nan poko fin reyalize, men mas pèp la kòmanse òganize tèt li, yo kòmanse devlope yon vrè volonte politik.
Jean Dominique's editorial in the aftermath the 29 March 1987 constitutional referendum -- a rare moment of national unity, in which a great majority of people representing different social classes and political orientations came together to vote "Yes." While the government and international press hails the referendum as a victory for the CNG, Dominique declares that the real victory is for the poor, the thousands of peasant farmers who exercised their right to vote for the constitution. According to Dominique, the real aftermath of the referendum remains to be seen, as the Haitian masses begin to organize themselves develop their political will.
