Former police officer Ralph Léger is summoned and interrogated in the investigation into the assassination of Jean Dominique and Jean-Claude Louissaint. Léger was in possession of a white Jeep Cherokee that he had bought from Jean Wilner Lalanne, the presumed link between the intellectual authors of the crime and the assassins. That white Jeep Cherokee was seen in front of the Radio Haiti building at the time of the assassination. Lalanne was apprehended and shot three times in the thigh and the buttocks in June 2000, and later that month died under suspicious circumstances during surgery.
