The Mouvman Peyizan Papay announces they are no longer part of Lavalas after René Préval nominates Hervé Denis for prime minister, which they find insulting. In fact, they declare, Lavalas no longer exists: the Lavalas (landslide) has dried up, leaving just a little stream behind.
