Reportage de Liliane Pierre-Paul sur les conditions de vie des femmes dans les bateys en République dominicaine qui travaillent dans les champs de sucre et vivent dans la misère et la faim. Elles sont sans-papiers à cause du gouvernement et du CEA (Consejo Estatal del Azúcar). Bien qu’elles soient jeunes, elles ont beaucoup d’enfants qui iront aussi travailler dans les champs de sucre. Ces femmes sont nées en République dominicaine mais elles ne sont pas reconnues comme dominicaines et ne peuvent retourner en Haïti.

Liliane Pierre-Paul reports on women living in in misery and hunger in bateys in the Dominican Republic, working in the sugar fields and undocumented by the Dominican government and the CEA (Consejo Estatal del Azúcar). Though they are young, they have many children, who will likewise work in the sugar fields. The women were born in the Dominican Republic, but the Dominican Republic does not recognize them as Dominican, and they cannot return to Haiti.
