Pierre Emmanuel leads a discussion about state-run media with Ady Jean-Gardy of the Radio Nationale d'Haïti, Hérold Jean-François of the Télévision Nationale d'Haïti, and Gary Victor of l'Union. They discuss the administration and mission of state-run media, the evolution of state-run media from the Duvalier era through the CNG era into the beginning of the democratic era, and address the question of objectivity. How do people know it is not propaganda, and how do they know that these media outlets have truly changed in the democratic era? What is the relationship between state-run media and the government itself?
