  • Two members of SOFA (Solidarite Fanm Ayisyèn), Évelyne Larieux and Marie-France Joachim, speak to J.J. Dominique on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. They discuss the origins of the commemoration (in honor of the Mirabal sisters, who resisted the Trujillo dictatorship in the Dominican Republic and were tortured and killed on November 25, 1960), and different forms of gender-based violence, including physical and sexual violence, as well as emotional and psychological violence. They discuss sexual and gender-based violence committed by chefs de section throughout the country.

  • Deux membres de la SOFA (Solidarite Fanm Ayisyèn), Évelyne Larieux et Marie-France Joachim, sont invitées par J.J. Dominique à l'occasion du 25 novembre, la Journée internationale pour l'élimination de la violence à l'égard des femmes. Elles s'intéressent aux origines de cette Journée (créée en l'honneur des soeurs Mirabal qui luttèrent contre la dictature de Trujillo en République dominicaine et furent torturées et exécutées le 25 novembre 1960) et aux différentes formes de violence à l'égard des femmes : physiques, sexuelles, émotionnelles et psychologiques. Elles parlent aussi de la violence sexuelle perpétrée par les chefs de section dont sont victimes les femmes à travers le pays.
