Max Bourjolly of the Parti unifié des communistes haïtiens (PUCH) discusses with Jean Dominique the history of communist thought and future of communism as social and political change sweeps through communist countries, particularly in the USSR. Dominique asks Bourjolly, "Are you still a communist?" They discuss communism and Marxism in Haiti, including the divisions and ruptures between and within communist factions, and the possible role of communism, amid all its contradictions, in this moment of social and political change in Haiti. Dominique recalls his encounters with Jacques Stephen Alexis in Paris.
Max Bourjolly du Parti unifié des communistes haïtiens (PUCH) s'entretient avec Jean Dominique à propos de l'histoire de la pensée communiste et du futur du mouvement alors que le changement social et politique s'étend dans les pays communistes, particulièrement en URSS. Dominique demande à Bourjolly : « êtes-vous toujours communiste ? ». Ils parlent du communisme et du marxisme en Haïti, y compris des divisions et des ruptures entre les différentes factions, du rôle du communisme malgré toutes ses contradictions et de la conjoncture actuelle en Haïti qui tend vers le changement politique et social. Dominique se rappelle de ses rencontres à Paris avec Jacques Stephen Alexis.
