Liliane Pierre-Paul fè yon repòtaj sou yon kongrè peyizan Mouvman Peyizan Papay te òganize. Peyizan soti nan kat kwen peyi a rasanble Papay pou diskite ak chèche solisyon pwoblèm peyizan yo ap afwonte. Pami pwoblèm sa yo, gen dwa tè (paske pi fò tè se nan men grandon li ye, k ap peze-souse peyizan yo nan demwatye), destriksyon kochon kreyòl la, pwoblèm sante (sitou malarya ak kanpay fenitrotyòn SNEM nan), planin fòse ke peyizan yo pa t chwazi, edikasyon ki pa adapte ak bezwen peyizan yo, ak lang kreyòl nan tribinal yo, pami lòt revandikasyon. Chavannes Jean-Baptiste, responsab MPP, fè yon diskou devan tout moun.
Liliane Pierre-Paul reports on a peasants' congress organized by the Mouvman Peyizan Papay. Peasant farmers from around the country gathered in Papaye to discuss and seek solutions to problems facing Haiti's peasants. These problems include land rights (much land is owned by big landowners and peasants are forced into an exploitative sharecropping system), the destruction of the Creole pig, health issues (particularly malaria and SNEM's fenitrothion campaign), forced family planning, education that isn't adapted to the needs and lives of peasant families, and Creole language in the justice system, among other issues. Chavannes Jean-Baptiste, the head of MPP, addresses the attendees. Liliane Pierre-Paul interviews several of the participants, who have come from all over Haiti.
