Bishop François Gayot calls for unity following the fall of Duvalier and denounces those who accuse the Catholic Church of persecuting Vodouisants and being in alliance with wealthy foreign interests. He says that dechoukaj distracts the people from their true needs.
L'évêque François Gayot appelle à l'unité après la chute de Duvalier. Il dénonce ceux qui accusent l'Église catholique de persécuter les pratiquants du vaudou et d'être alliée avec de riches puissances étrangères. Il déclare que le déchoucage est un écran de fumée qui détourne l'attention du peuple au détriment de leurs vrais besoins.
