  • Konpè Filo interviews Haitian refugees in New York as well as Joe Etienne of the Centre Charlemagne Péralte about the problems that refugees face. They feel that they are dependent on others and cannot find work — this is not what they expected when they came to the United States. According to Etienne, some refugees develop mental health problems because they feel powerless. Includes the song “Kite yo pale” by Caribbean Sextet.
