- Description:

Gouvènman an te mande yon envantè epi li di li t ap fè reparasyon pou tout radyo ki kraze yo, men radyo yo poko jwenn anyen. Konsènan vilnerabilite laprès ak radyo an patikilyè an Ayiti, Dominique kwè se responsabilite leta pou asire libète laprès, pa sèlman pou bay bèl pawòl sou libète laprès. Sakaj ak sabotaj stasyon radyo nan avril 1989 te yon zak sansi byen òganize nan Ministè Enfòmasyon an. Dominique bay opinyon li sou laprès nan dyaspora ayisyen. Haïti en Marche ak Haïti Observateur ap fè yon travay ki serye, men gen lòt jounal tankou Haïti Progrès ki se propagann yo ye. Dominique eksplike ki enpòtans objektivite jounalis.
Jean Dominique's interview with Haïti en Marche after the military government of Prosper Avril destroyed several radio stations in the capital, including Radio Haiti, on April 6, 1989. Dominique describes the damage to the station. The government requested an inventory of the damages and offered to pay for repairs, though this money has not been received. Regarding the vulnerability of the press and particularly of radio stations in Haiti, Dominique believes it is the government's responsibility to ensure true freedom of the press, not mere lip service. The violent destruction of radio stations in April 1989 was an organized, intentional act of censorship by the Ministry of Information. Dominique also gives his opinion of the press in the Haitian diaspora. Haïti en Marche and Haïti Observateur are doing good work, but other newspapers such as Haïti Progrès are propaganda. Dominique explains the importance of journalistic objectivity.
