(00:04:26) Jean Dominique fait une interview téléphonique avec Evans François, frère du colonel Michel François, et ancien consul haïtien en République Dominicaine durant le coup d’État. Il était récemment rentré en Haïti, après avoir informé le directeur de l’immigration de son intention. D’après un journal de Miami, la police fédérale américaine avait arrêté Evans François pour trafic d’armes (il aurait fait passer des armes de la République Dominicaine à Haïti). François nie cette accusation. Concernant l’arrestation de son frère, Evans François déclare que même quand ils étaient tous les deux en République Dominicaine, durant la même période, ils ne se parlaient pas, parce que Michel François avait fait de fausses accusations contre lui. Dominique lui demande si Michel François est un bourreau. Evans François répond qu’il était un homme « programmé par la société haïtienne ». Dominique ajoute « à tuer? » 1996-04-16

He has recently returned to Haiti, after informing the Director of Immigration of his intention to return. According to a Miami newspaper, François was arrested by US federal authorities for arms trafficking (bringing weapons from the Dominican Republic to Haiti), which François denies. Regarding the arrest of his brother, Evans François claims that although both he and Michel François were in the Dominican Republic, they have not spoken in a long time because Michel François made a series of false allegations against him. When Dominique asks if Michel François was a killer, Evans François replies that he was a "a man programmed by Haitian society" -- to which Dominique adds, "to kill?" 1996-04-16
