  • Jean Dominique discusses the history of Catholicism in Latin America and the emergence of liberation theology. He comments on the murder of the "martyr-priest" Óscar Romero in El Salvador, the archbishop who promoted liberation theology and worked with the disenfranchised poor, and who was assassinated on March 24, 1980. Includes a clip of Romero, who describes being in prison and hearing of the death of Sandinista leader Carlos Fonseca, whereupon Romero and his comrades responded that Fonseca is one of the dead who will never die. Dominique discusses political developments in Nicaragua after the Sandinista victory. Dominique summarizes the latest issue of "Conjonction" magazine, featuring articles by Jean-Jacques Honorat and Ruben Silié among others. Harold Isaac reports on a curious incident between Père Sicot (Occide Jean) and several women in Kenscoff. According to Père Sicot, it is retaliation for the development work he is doing with the peasants of the area, and he is justified in responding with violence just as Jesus chased the money-changers from the temple.

Il mentionne le meurtre du « prêtre martyr » Óscar Romero au Salvador, un archevêque qui militait pour la théologie de la libération et travaillait avec les classes défavorisées, qui fut assassiné le 24 mars 1980. Un extrait sonore de Romero est diffusé, dans lequel il raconte sa vie en prison et sa réaction quand il apprit la mort du leader sandiniste Carlos Fonseca. Romero et ses camarades déclarent alors que Fonseca fait partie de ces morts que l'humanité n'oubliera jamais. Dominique tire le bilan des progrès politiques au Nicaragua après la victoire sandiniste. Il résume le dernier numéro du magazine « Conjonction » dans lequel sont parus des articles signés entre autres par Jean-Jacques Honorat et Ruben Silié. Harold Isaac relate un curieux incident entre le père Sicot (Occide Jean) et plusieurs jeunes femmes de Kenscoff. Selon le père Sicot, il s'agissait d'une vengeance suite au travail de développement qu'il effectue avec les paysans et il est donc en son plein droit de répondre par la violence, tout comme Jésus lorsqu'il expulsa les marchands du Temple.
