Yon slogan parèt an spre devan radyo a: "Fòk pèp la gen kontwòl sou Radyo Ayiti." Dominique pale sou jesyon radyo a, ak salè anplwaye yo, an detay. Radyo Ayiti pral fèmen pou yon ti tan, an fas tout menas sa yo. Men, jan Dominique di, malere yo konnen Jean Dominique pa janm bese tèt li devan ni biznismann ni boujwazi ni makout ni zenglendo; yo konnen Jean Dominique "pa janm fè wout kochi."
Jean Dominique's editorial fifteen days after the rupture that occurred when four members of Radio Haiti's staff, whom he terms the "quatre meneurs" ("four ringleaders") -- Sonny Bastien, Marvel Dandin, Liliane Pierre-Paul, and Konpè Filo -- accuse Dominique of not having paid them. This occurs in an increasingly tense atmosphere in which Radio Haiti faces threats from "laprès makout" (the macoute press), including "Radyo Zenglendo" (the Duvalierist Radio Liberté). In what Dominique calls the "semenn gwo ponyèt" (the "week of the iron fist"), the four journalists (who had been trained at Radio Haiti) criticized and violently threatened Jean Dominique and Radio Haiti, and effectively attempted a coup, claiming that they should be the directors of Radio Haiti. This satisfies members of the bourgeoisie who consider Dominique a hypocrite who claims to support the masses but supposedly exploits his employees: a graffitied slogan appears in front of the Radio Haiti building: "Fòk pèp la gen kontwòl sou Radyo Ayiti" ("The people must have control of Radio Haiti"). Dominique discusses here the management of Radio Haiti, including details of employee salaries. The station is temporarily closed amid these mounting threats. But, Dominique says, the poor know that Radio Haiti is their station, and that Radio Haiti and Jean Dominique will never bow down to businessmen, to the bourgeoisie, to macoutes, to zeglendos, to anyone who would threaten them, and they know that Jean Dominique "pa janm fè wout kochi" ("never takes the crooked [dishonest] path").
