They emphasize the fact that it would have been very difficult for all of these soldiers to have not been in Gonaïves at the time of the massacre, as soldiers must submit a request for leave. The document presented by Wilson Casséus was full of errors and was certainly false. Casséus's claims that Marie Denise Fleury is making these claims against him because she was in love with him and he rejected her are simply more evidence for his immorality: he is an "man without shame" (homme sans pudeur). Castera Cénafils is the only person who claimed the population of Raboteau attacked the military post, which shows that he made up the "attack" to justify committing violence against the community. "What price will you assign to the life of Ti Claude? What price will you assign to the life of Frédéric Léxéus? What price will you assign to the lives of all the victims of the April 22, 1995 massacre?" The jury must find the defendants guilty of this premeditated crime.
