  • L’interrogatoire de l’accusé Cariétane Nady commence. Il déclare avoir été transféré, au service antigang de Port-au-Prince, en décembre 1993; il n’était donc pas aux Gonaïves lors du massacre de Raboteau. Le ministère public produit un document montrant que l’armée avait écarté Nady à cause de son mauvais caractère. Le conseil des accusés déclare qu’ils ne sont pas là pour juger de sa moralité, mais pour déterminer s’il avait participé à l’incident de Raboteau.

  • Examination of Cariétane Nady begins. He claims that he had been transferred from Gonaïves to the anti-gang unit in Port-au-Prince in December 1993, and so he was not in Gonaïves at the time of the Raboteau massacre. Prosecutors produce documents that show that Nady was removed from the army for "bad character." Defense attorneys argue that they are not there to judge his morality, but simply whether he participated in the Raboteau incident.
