Defense attorneys Gabrielle Domingue and Stanley Gaston says that the Ministère Public has not done its job properly in not submitting these documents. Sadrac Dieudonné, lawyer for Castera Cénafils and Théomat Charles, argues that not all the documents have not yet been submitted. Defense lawyers claim that they are not delaying things; they say do not have what they need to defend their clients, and the point of a trial is not simply to proceed, but to defend the accused.

Le but d'un procès, ajoutent-ils, n'est pas d'être mené tambour battant, mais plutôt de donner la possibilité aux accusés de se défendre.
