Defense lawyers argue that plaintiffs' lawyers Mario Joseph and Duclas Marcelin have not presented the complete list of witnesses. Defense then demands a series of documents, including death certificates for all the victims of the massacre, reports from experts, the procès-verbal (authenticated account) of the questioning of the witnesses and the defendants, the procès-verbal of the hearings of witnesses, forensic certificates, written accounts from the judge-de-paix from northern Gonaïves, reports from the Commission Nationale de Vérité et de Justice, US embassy, and MICIVIH, and property titles for all the houses burned in Gonaïves, etc.

  • Chahut et discussions; le juge demande un ajournement. Le lendemain, le procès continue.
