  • Continuation of the arraignment of the fifty-nine defendants in the Raboteau trial. Opening statements from representative of the Ministère Public Frénot Cajuste, the public prosecutor (commissaire de gouvernement) of Gonaïves Louiselmé Joseph, some of the defendants' lawyers and others. Clerk Raoul Jacques reads the names of all the accused, including those who will be tried in absentia, and anger and frustration breaks out over the absence of thirty-seven of the fifty-nine accused.
