According to Clonès, there are "honest Macoutes." He addresses Father Joachim Samedi's increasing opposition to Lavalas leadership. Clonès discusses the particular electoral problems facing the Grand'Anse, the dates of the elections, and the balance between the CEP and the executive branch. According to Clonès, the CEP is discouraging people from voting. He also discusses the health and infrastructure situation in Haiti, and speaks favorably of Aristide's decision to disband the army.
