Patrick Elie ak Carl Henri Guiteau, de manm Eko Vwa Jean Dominique, fè yon bilan sityasyon politik peyi d Ayiti nan lane 2001, soti nan kriz elektoral ak konfli ant Fanmi Lavalas ak Espas Konsètasyon nan mwa me 2000. Ankò ak ankò, pèp ayisyen an rejte demokrasi pèpè sila a. Enpinite ak ensekirite kontinye ap fè banda. Animasyon Sony Estéus.
Patrick Elie and Carl Henri Guiteau of Eko Vwa Jean Dominique discuss Haiti's political situation in 2001, going back to the electoral crisis and the conflict between Fanmi Lavalas and the Espas Konsètasyon in May 2000. Each political camp has its own blan -- their own international backers -- and the political contest has become about power as the final goal, rather than the basic needs of the people. In other words, it is the state against the nation. Civil society is no longer as cohesive as it was at the beginning of the democratic era (for example, when thousands of people turned out in the streets calling for justice for Charlot Jacquelin in 1986), and is now dominated by OPs. The core of this political and social crisis goes far deeper than the 2000 elections, and the guests are left to wonder if perhaps many of these things would not have happened if Jean Dominique had not been killed. The meddling of the international community in Haiti's affairs has never helped Haiti. The 1991 coup d'état was not only an overthrow of Jean-Bertrand Aristide, but an overthrow of true democratic participation in Haiti. Since the beginning of the democratic era, the United States has tried to implement the "American plan" in Haiti as well as elsewhere: secondhand one-size-fits-all democracy. The Haitian people have repeatedly rejected this kind of secondhand democracy. Impunity and insecurity continue to reign. Hosted by Sony Estéus.
