Prézeau-Stephenson ak Dominique kòmanse pale sou kesyon devwa memwa, ak sa k bezwen fèt pou ayisyen ka sonje mak diktati Duvalier a kite sou sosyete a. Forim nan te gen anpil ekspozisyon piblik, nan mitan lavil la, ki fè yon pi gwo piblik gen aksè a ekspozisyon yo.
Barbara Prézeau-Stephenson of the Fondation AfricAméricA discusses with J.J. Dominique the second Multicultural Contemporary Art Forum (Forum Multiculturel d'Art Contemporain), which brought together Haitian artists and international artists. She was particularly struck by Haiti's urban artists, particularly the sculptors of the Grand-Rue. Exhibits included "Haïti, regardée par le Québec" (photographs of Haiti by artists from Quebec, at MUPANAH), "Nouveau Monde/ Mondes nouveaux" at the Musée d'Art Haïtien, and an exhibition of urban sculpture. There were also visits to various Haitian artists, and screening of Haitian films. The conversation turns to devoir de mémoire, and efforts to remember the legacy of the Duvalier dictatorship. The public aspect of the forum allowed for a larger audience to experience the exhibits.
