Jude Piquant pale sou eksperyans li antanke anseyan lang kreyòl nan Brooklyn College, epi li eksplike enpòtans lang ak kilti ayisyen pou jèn k ap viv nan dyaspora ayisyen. Dapre Piquant, li difisil konvenk anpil moun Ozetazini ke kreyòl la se yon lang ki merite anseye nan kou inivèsitè. Li dekri tou tout sa k fè l difisil anseye kreyòl ayisyen an epi ankouraje pwodiksyon entelektyèl nan lang kreyòl la, epi li pale sou travay gwo lengwis tankou Pierre Vernet ap reyalize pou valorize lang kreyòl la.
