Diène emphasizes the importance of including people of all walks of life and nationalities in the Slave Route project, giving the example of Norway that has publicly recognized its role in the slave trade and helped finance the Slave Route project. Dominique interrogates Haitian national amnesia -- why Haitian historians and artists almost never work on the Middle Passage. Also includes a clip of Nouréini Tidjani-Serpos of UNESCO describing the Slave Route project.
