Martine Lusardy of the Halle Saint-Pierre and Emmanuel Daydé of the municipal government of the city of Paris discuss the exhibition of Haitian art they are organizing in Paris for March 2000, to mark the new millennium. Barbara Prézeau, one of the artists who will be featured at the Paris exhibition, also discusses a multicultural forum on visual arts (arts plastiques) from Africa and the African diaspora that Fondation AfricAmérica is preparing for April 2000 in Port-au-Prince. Prézeau also discusses the need for professionalization of Haitian artists, including respect for copyright.
Martine Lusardy, une responsable de la Halle Sainte-Pierre, et Emmanuel Daydé qui travaille aux affaires culturelles de la Mairie de Paris, parlent d’une exposition d’art haïtien qu’ils organisent à Paris, en mars 2000, pour marquer le nouveau millénaire. Barbara Prézeau, une des artistes participant à cette exposition, parle aussi du forum multiculturel sur l’art africain et de la diaspora africaine que la Fondation AfricAmérica prépare pour avril 2000 à Port-au-Prince. Prézeau parle aussi de l’importance de la professionnalisation des artistes haitiens, et aussi de l’importance du respect des droits d’auteurs par Haïti.
