  • Painter Carlo Célius discusses his trajectory as an artist and early successes and the difficulties of the art market for young emerging artists. Célius speaks of his preference for paper-based media and mixed-media techniques. Monique Lafontant and J.J. Dominique give their impressions of his first exhibition. Célius describes his training as an artist at ENARTS, then turns to the history of Haitian art. He rejects the distinction between "naive" art and "modern" art, claiming rather that Haitian art is creating its own tradition. He discusses his plans for the future, to continue studying and exhibiting his art. Interview J.J. Dominique.

Célius décrit sa formation en tant qu’artiste à l'ENARTS, puis raconte l’histoire de l’art haïtien.
