Painter Carlo Célius discusses his trajectory as an artist and early successes and the difficulties of the art market for young emerging artists. Célius speaks of his preference for paper-based media and mixed-media techniques. Monique Lafontant and J.J. Dominique give their impressions of his first exhibition. Célius describes his training as an artist at ENARTS, then turns to the history of Haitian art. He rejects the distinction between "naive" art and "modern" art, claiming rather that Haitian art is creating its own tradition. He discusses his plans for the future, to continue studying and exhibiting his art. Interview J.J. Dominique.
Le peintre Carlo Célius raconte son parcours en tant qu’artiste, ses premiers succès et les difficultés du marché de l’art pour les jeunes artistes émergents. Célius explique sa préférence pour l’art sur papier et les techniques mixtes. Monique Lafontant et J.J. Dominique donnent leurs impressions de sa première exposition. Célius décrit sa formation en tant qu’artiste à l'ENARTS, puis raconte l’histoire de l’art haïtien. Il rejette la distinction entre l’art « naïf » et l’art « moderne », affirmant que l’art haïtien crée ses propres traditions. Il partage ses projets pour le futur : continuer à étudier et à exposer son art. Entretien mené par J. J. Dominique.
