Kenson Polynice, Sterlin St. Cyr, ak Frito Mérisier, ki se twa manm komite direksyon KOZEPEP, pale sou objektif ak aktivite KOZEPEP, ki te yon òganizasyon peyizan ki t ap veye sou eleksyon ki transfòme an yon òganizasyon k ap lite pou dwa peyizan (ki gen ladan yo pechè tankou St. Cyr) an jeneral.
Kenson Polynice, Sterlin St. Cyr, and Frito Mérisier of the KOZEPEP steering committee discuss the goals and activities of KOZEPEP, which has transformed from a peasant-led election monitoring organization to an organization that fights for the rights of rural farmers (and fishers, like St. Cyr) more generally. They discuss the importance of supporting domestic agricultural production, the agrarian reform program, the challenges of coffee production (Mérisier is a coffee planter from Thiotte) and fishing. They assess the agrarian reform program, which was intended to stop bloody land conflict in the Artibonite. There was a lack of follow-up and oversight of the agrarian reform initiative, which has allowed land conflict to resume. Interview Michèle Montas.
