L’ingénieur Gerton René et Me Jean-Marie Siclait, deux responsables de la CAMEP, parlent de la question de l’eau dans la zone métropolitaine. Ils expliquent la différence entre la CAMEP et la SNEP. Ils parlent des défis pour la protection des sources d’eau, pour qu’elles ne soient pas contaminées par la population (surtout à Pétionville et Carrefour), de la capacité de distribution d’eau de la CAMEP, de la gestion de l’eau dans les quartiers populaires, de l’accès à l’eau potable et enfin de la détérioration de l’environnement qui provoque des glissements de terrains.
Engineer Gerton René and Jean-Marie Siclait of CAMEP discuss water issues in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area. They explain the difference between CAMEP and SNEP, and discuss the challenges of protecting natural water sources from human contamination (particularly in Pétionville and Carrefour), CAMEP's capacity to distribute water, water management in low-income neighborhood, potable water access, and how environmental degradation leads to landslides.
