Première partie des funérailles de Jean L. Dominique et Jean-Claude Louissaint au Stade Sylvio Cator, le 8 avril 2000. Animation Michèle Pierre-Louis. C’est elle qui, la première, prend la parole et présente ceux qui vont intervenir. Mgr Willy Romélus déclare que ce sont ceux qui font le mal qui meurent vraiment, parce que leurs œuvres les suivent. Syto Cavé récite un texte et dit « nous n’oublierons jamais ». Charles Suffrard, responsable de KOZEPEP, déclare qu’ils ont tué Jando parce qu’il disait la vérité, qu’il dénonçait l’injustice et l’impunité. Sony Estéus parle, au nom de l’équipe de Radio Haïti, expliquant les menaces, la violence et les obstacles auxquels Radio Haïti a été confronté à travers les années, et réitérant le slogan que la station « balanse, li pap tonbe » (plie mais ne rompt pas). Part one of the funeral ceremony for Jean L. Dominique and Jean-Claude Louissaint, held at Stade Sylvio Cator on April 8, 2000. Michèle Pierre-Louis leads the ceremony, giving the first speech and introducing the other speakers. Monsignor Willy Romélus says that those who do evil are the ones who truly die, because their acts will follow them. Syto Cavé recites a text and says "nou p ap dòmi bliye" ("we will never forget"). Charles Suffrard of KOZEPEP says that they killed Jean Dominique because he spoke the truth and denounced injustice and impunity. Sony Estéus speaks on behalf of Radio Haïti-Inter, discussing all the threats, violence and obstacles Radio Haïti has endured throughout the years and reiterating that the station "balanse, li p ap tonbe." Contains several clips of Jean Dominique on the radio.
