  • Le président Préval, le ministre de l'Agriculture François Séverin et le directeur de l'INARA Bernard Ethéart rencontrent des planteurs à Marmelade. Ils discutent des avantages que procure la culture de bambou et de café, des dangers de la dégradation des terres, des conflits fonciers et des objectifs de l'INARA. Des paysans de toute la région sont venus jusqu'à Marmelade pour partager leurs expériences. André Telfis, le président de la FACN, décrit comment les cultivateurs de café se sont rassemblés pour produire et exporter la précieuse graine. L'agronome Frantz Bissainthe, qui travaille avec des cultivateurs de café, récapitule les résolutions de la rencontre entre la FACN et les planteurs Marmeladais. Plusieurs planteurs décrivent leurs expériences.

  • President Préval, Minister of Agriculture François Séverin and INARA director Bernard Ethéart speak with peasant farmers in Marmelade about the advantages of coffee planting and bamboo, the dangers of land degradation, land conflicts, and the goals of INARA. Peasant farmers from elsewhere in the Artibonite have travelled to Marmelade to share their experiences. André Telfis, president of FACN, describes how coffee planters have organized themselves and produced coffee for export. Agronomist Frantz Bissainthe, who works with coffee planters, presents the resolutions of a meeting between the FACN and the planters of Marmelade. Several planters describe their experiences.
