Victor explains the difference between a state newspaper that is used for propaganda versus one that is used to communicate government policy. Dominique notes the changes he has observed at L'Union since Victor took over, as Victor is also a writer and satirist who uses his "pen as a scalpel" (in Dominique's words) in creating characters such as Albert Buron. Victor and Dominique discuss the current political moment, including politicians' ability (or inability) for self-critique and unwillingness to be criticized by the press, political divisions, and the tendency to give into a "tentation louverturienne." (00:13:19) Radio Haiti revisits the events of September 11, hosted by J.J. Dominique. Phone interview with "Espérance," the pregnant woman who was stabbed in the belly during the Saint-Jean Bosco massacre (11 September 1988), on the second anniversary of the massacre. She describes the massacre, how she survived, her faith in God, and how the baby, "Esperancia," is doing now. They currently live in the US. The broadcast also revisits the 11 September 1973 coup d'état in Chile, 1990-09-11 (00:22:55) Jean Dominique and Michèle Montas report on the wave of violence overtaking Haiti, from attacks by zenglendo, to barricades in Gonaïves, to Roger Lafontant's campaign promoting "national reconciliation" with Macoutes. There is still a warrant for Lafontant's arrest, but, two months after his return to Haiti, he has not been arrested. Dominique and Montas provide a timeline of Lafontant's return and the reaction of the Haitian authorities, various political parties and civil society organizations, 1990-09 (00:35:33) Liliane Pierre-Paul reads a list of the leaders of the Macoute party URN as provided in a press release. Roger Lafontant is the president of the party, Serge Beaulieu is the vice-president. Other leaders include Alphonse Lahens, Auguste Robinson, and many others. Elle décrit les événements, comment elle a pu échapper aux agresseurs, sa foi en Dieu, et comment va actuellement son bébé, « Espérancia ». Elles vivent aux États-Unis. L’émission fait aussi un rappel du coup d’état du 11 Septembre 1973 au Chili, 1990-09-11 (00:22:55) Jean Dominique et Michèle Montas présentent un reportage sur une vague de violences en Haïti : attaques de zeglendo, barricades aux Gonaïves, et la campagne de Roger Lafontant où il parle de « reconciliation nationale » avec les macoutes.
