Jean Dominique's commentary after the victory of the March 29, 1987 constitutional referendum. Despite some irregularities and difficulties, people voted for the Constitution, rich and poor alike. Includes street interviews with voters in both working-class and bourgeois neighborhoods, including former ambassador Joseph Dejean. Dominique concludes by telling the story of a group of small-scale merchants who were arrested returning to Haiti from the Dominican Republic, and their merchandise seized. After their release from prison, they came to Radio Haiti to publicly denounce their arrest -- and they all arrived with index fingers red from voting. They said they voted immediately after being released from prison, so that such things would never happen again.

Malgré quelques irrégularités et problèmes, le peuple, les riches comme les pauvres, vota en faveur de la constitution. Avec des interviews d'électeurs issus de quartiers populaires et aisés, notamment l'ancien ambassadeur Joseph Dejean. Dominique termine l'émission en racontant l'histoire d'un groupe de petits commerçants qui furent arrêtés et leurs marchandises confisquées alors qu'ils revenaient de République dominicaine. Après leur libération, ils se rendirent à Radio Haïti afin de dénoncer leur traitement et arrivèrent avec leurs index rouges : ils allèrent voter immédiatement après leur sortie de prison pour s'assurer que ce genre de situation ne se reproduise plus.
